I wish all MPs understood this...

The only MP that I know of that gets it:
"Since the Civil War, Parliament's purpose is supposed to be overseeing how our taxes are spent. Instead of rubber stamping government spending decisions as they've done for decades, the Commons needs to assert its right to say "no". ... "
Quite. And I would suggest that the rest of us need to learn to do the same...
